7. Data sources & attribution
United States macroeconomic figures are drawn from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED), which redistributes series published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Bureau of Economic Analysis and the Federal Reserve Board. Equity index levels come from the market data providers listed below. Every figure is dated to the observation it was taken from.
Live market figures are compiled from Sahmk (TASI), Financial Modeling Prep, Finnhub, Tiingo, Alpha Vantage, Marketstack, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED) and Yahoo Finance via the yfinance library. Each figure carries the date of the source reading it was taken from.
Daily currency reference rates are supplied by the public-domain currency-api project, with Rates By Exchange Rate API as a fallback. They are indicative reference rates for context only — they are not dealing rates, and no rate shown anywhere on this site constitutes an offer, a quotation or investment advice.
